Folkert De Jong


















The sculpture of Folkert De Jong. I saw his work on the cover of a sculpture magazine in passing at the library today and made a note to look him up. I love the painterly surface of these figures. They make me think a little of R.B. Kitaj's paintings...
There are of course some direct borrowings from Picasso in a couple of the installations here...
