Mama I, II, III, and IV, 2011
cake tester, clothespins, baking rack, trivet, sunshine and photocollage, on snow.
My Dad used to sing this song to my mother. There are several versions on Youtube - I chose this one because it is a barbershop version (Dad belonged to the SPEBSQSA). Plus, it was performed on November 8th, which happens to be my Mom's birthday. That sealed the deal...

All those things that Mom touched so many times--the clothespins probably the most and I'm amazed that she kept those clothespins in such good shape! She'd keep them under the sink in a basket--never hanging out on the line like I do. she'd clip the clothes on the pins in the kitchen--then hang them on the lines using those wire clips.
ok--that song did me in--very hard to hear that song without crying--I would have been more of a mess had the camera person got all four young men in the scene! I kept wanting to see the fourth singer, so my tears were distracted.
