Sparkling Tiaras and Flaming Crowns

Susan Beauchemin
Tiara Girls

Carl Larsson
Lucia

I adore this new painting of my sister's, Tiara Girls. I told her that it makes me think of Carl Larsson's Lucia paintings: the girls in profile, and the crowns. Plus the painting style. Sue's work is more vigorous, but there is a similar draftsmanship I think! (My husband says Tiara Girls looks like me and Sue when we were little...)
Have a great weekend!

I love the Lucia painting! I didn't even think about my painting looking like you and me when we were children, but yes! Of course it does! I'm the one in pink.

I'm a big fan of your sister's work, Martha!

"Sparkling Tiaras" is just ONE reason why Susan can't give up painting completely.

Clearly talent runs in the family!
