More from the Velvet Underground...

The painting on velvet continues. Another late night in the studio, doing the back and forth, pushing, pulling, adding, taking away, using acrylics, pastels, ink, oil pastels, collage, gloss medium, assemblage, spray paint, stitching, glitter. Struggling to pull it all together using the "window panes" as a grounding element...gah, it's work...

The red pom-pom trim came off of an old '60's tablecloth that my Mom made, and shows up in the curtains, too.

Back to the studio today. I have to wrap this up and get it photographed by tomorrow because the deadline for the self-portrait show submissions is tomorrow @ midnight. If I don't "get a wiggle on," as my Grandma would say, I haven't a prayer of getting this thing rolling...
