Wild strawberries at the edge of the woods.
Yellow Mallow.
Parsley and lettuce.
Green beans. Grass clippings make great mulch.
Garlic is forming scapes...
The tomato plants are happy!
Two rows of potatoes.
Rainboots and basil.
We are going to have a bumper crop of raspberries this summer!

Martha!!!
...you know how to grow your own..?!
I need to learn how to farm.
And I am obsessed with the idea of having chickens in the city. My back neighbors had some years ago before we moved in but, the raccoons unlatched the coop lock and helped themselves.
..So far all I have are the boots ;P
Hi Teri
My husband and I do the vegetable garden together! You could start with some patio tomatoes, or herbs in a window box, perhaps? Do you have a yard? The chickens belong to my son and daughter-in-law who are building a house on our land (gifted to them). It's been fun watching the whole operation. and we all enjoy those fresh eggs! Lots of folks have chickens in the city now! Maybe you can? Racoons are soo clever! :*)
Wonderful photos--you guys are great gardeners. Puts my puny little tomato patch to shame! :)
I love the chickens. I used to have some when I was a kid a definitely miss having them around. They probably wouldn't appreciate living in the desert though. The funny thing is your rooster named Thunder. I used to have a black horse named Thunder, but she was a girl.
Wild strawberries!! How cool--and how greeeeeeen everything is!!!
