Sanctuary

It's installed! Thanks to the kind, generous, and hugely helpful assistance of Chris and crew at Sanctuary Tattoo! Whew. My diptych has breathing room now! I felt like it was eating me alive in my tiny studio. I am so grateful for the supportive art community here in Portland, and out there in cyberspace! I actually skipped up my sidewalk in happiness when I got back to my apartment after setting up last night. First Friday Art Walk tonight! If you are in town, do be sure to stop by Sanctuary and see all the wonderful artwork that makes up Gilty Pleasures!

OMG!

This is unbelievable!! Definitely eye-catching and a conversation starter I'm sure.

I just love the sheer size of this thing. It is so damn neat to have a work of art like that hanging on a wall behind someone's desk/work space.

I'm so jealous!

Wow Martha--it looks great and I know that it must look so much better in person--I so wish I could go see it for myself. Seems like a perfect venue. Even the title goes with where it is. How long will it be up? Could you maybe take a few daytime pictures? But if you're done posting about it that's ok

Hi Sue

Thanks! I wish you could see it, too! It has so many details...
I will indeed be taking some daytime photos - I'll send you some! This is an opportunity to document it well, so I'll have images to submit to other shows where I might install it in the future...
