A Good Egg

If I had a blog
I'd go out on on the ocean
and if I had a story
I'd write it on that blog
and we could all together
go out on the ocean
I said me upon my story upon my blog.

But since I don't have time for a blog right now, I wanted to show you the egg I made yesterday!

Kaitlyn Duggan

(Oh, but, I have a blog!)

My daughter Kaitlyn (being silly in the top pic taken on Easter Sunday 2 years ago) just painted this beeeeaaaaauuuutiful Easter egg using the wax resist method. And she painted my favorite bird on it, one that I consider to be my totem, the precious Ruby Throated Hummingbird. And see the infinity symbol, that figure eight? The hummingbird's wings beat out that pattern!

Speaking of humming, I just read this wonderful passage this morning:

If we are inwardly in "a really good place," we seem to be "humming along" - a common, fitting description for this state. It is interesting that the word "humming" is vibrationally like "om-ing," as in the Sanskrit "Om mani padme hum," which is possibly the most widely used mantra in the Eastern world. So when we "hum along," it is as if we are aware of being connected with the underlying pattern of oneness in the universe. It is as if we are part of the cosmic dance around the still point, hearing the faint hum of the music as we move - in tune with the Tao.

I guess artistic talent runs in the family!

Your daughter's easter eggs looks super detailed.

This might sound kind of funny but your daughter's art style reminds me of your sister's!

That's pretty cool and full-circle if you ask me!
