

We stayed in Portland this weekend, and on my walk to the studio I saw this newly dumped cord of wood - not a typical sight in the city! This was right outside of
Fore Street Restaurant, where I've not yet dined - they must use it for cooking. Yup - check their link. They have a nice wood oven!


I'm adding background imagery to
Chriss Sutherland's portrait and am almost done. I'll be (hopefully!) finishing this tomorrow.

I've seen that pile there many times, including today...quite bizarre, eh?
i imagine the restaurant goes through alot of wood if they have a wood fired open grill...i'm sure they must stack it indoors. i like seeing it on the sidewalk - reminds me of being home in woolwich!
