The Joanne Waxman Library at MECA has an on-going discount book sale that I frequently take advantage of. I have a growing collection of old art books that have cost me between $1.00 and $5.00 apiece! Last week for $4.00 I bought the hard cover book, Alfred Stieglitz: An American Seer by Dorothy Norman. It's filled with Stieglitz's photographs, including a few of the famous portraits of his lover, Georgia O'Keefe, and her amazingly beautiful hands. These photos bring to mind my sister Susan's latest painting series, a few examples of which I've posted here. Do visit her painting blog to see them all - they are terrific!

How I love Georgia's hands... they are lovely. And the way she poses them is so very interesting. I just found a book that has some great photos of her hands in her old age... I'll have to post them!
My fave of your sisters' work is her hand on her old piano, so nice!
I love that one too - was even thinking of buying it, then it sold!
