Cleaning put my studio yesterday, I found some of my notebooks from my senior year at MECA. Here are a few doodles from those pages.

I love the doodles--I've saved some of mine from highscool.
Wow, Martha... school will kill ya! (while you're in it, anyway.) Love those doodles too, they're fun to re-visit.
Yeah, it almost did! It's interesting, alot of people I know went to MECA had a very difficult time emotionally after graduation. Alot of them felt quite depressed afterwards. It feels like being on this wild ride and then suddenly you're kicked out of the speeding car and onto the curb. I've often thought about how graduates could use some prep for this - it's not talked about. Part of why I shared my story here.
Some graduates I know were so burnt out from their senior year that they couldn't make art for two years!
