Thanks! It's mostly watercolor with just a few pinches of pastel! I'd like to do more wood block prints. These were done in a continuing studies class that I took at MECA in 2002.
What type of press do you own? Is it one that can be used for intaglio as well as woodblock prints?
Hi Martha - I have a Dick Blick press... it's technically an 'etching press' but I can use it for most anything except litho of course. Woodblocks, linocuts, etchings, collographs etc.
I ordered it from their catalog... their prices are very reasonable. As I'm writing this, I don't know the actual 'make/stlye' of it but I can get the info if you're interested.
I am an artist, an art teacher, a mother of five children, and a grandmother of four, and I live with my husband and our two cats in the woods of Woolwich, Maine. I teach drawing classes through the Continuing Studies Department at Maine College of Art in Portland, and now privately in my new (!) studio @ 72 Front Street, Bath. My blog 'Martha Miller' shares my art, my process, and my inspirations, and my blog 'Not Bad Thing' showcases my daughter Lisbeth's artwork and process. It is also where I share my experience as a mother of an adult child with special needs. You can see more of my artwork on my website @ www.marthamiller.com

These are great! I really like the bright colors paired with the black ink. Is it watercolor?
Whoops, I just realized it's watercolor and pastel. I need more caffine!
