I've been making dolls since I was a teenager, although I wasn't obsessed with dolls as a little girl. I loved my Barbie Dolls when I was a preteen and spent hours sewing clothes for them. I wasn't only interested in that minuscule and impossible female shape - I also enjoyed making clothes for my collection of Troll dolls! (Did you know that Barbie was based on a a German doll named Lilli? Lilli was not the girl next door...)
I'm fascinated by the many purposes of dolls and that thin line (or IS there a line?) between dolls and sculpture.
