It's cold and snowing in Portland today, but a week from tomorrow is the first day of spring. I thought I'd dig out pictures from our Winter Solstice Bonfire. We'll have another fire to welcome in spring. The old Christmas trees, wreaths, and branches that have broken off the trees during the winter storms are in a pile on top of the campfire ring in our backyard in Woolwich, waiting for the big burn.
