You take such fantastic photos, Martha. There is a rich narrative of place and family connections in this series. You have an eye for the exceptional and the telling detail. It is beautiful around Millerton...what a country we live in!
Hee hee! It's true, those gravestones do look like they're leaning in and telling each other secrets! You would love Millerton -sometime when you are East, we must take a trip there! It's alot like when we went to visit Jim and Louise in Williamstown. I loved going there as a girl. xo
Such country appeal. Looks like a place I would love to be - quiet and gentle. Enjoyed your photo essay very much, Martha. You certainly have the gift! Happy New Year! ~karen
I am an artist, an art teacher, a mother of five children, and a grandmother of four, and I live with my husband and our two cats in the woods of Woolwich, Maine. I teach drawing classes through the Continuing Studies Department at Maine College of Art in Portland, and now privately in my new (!) studio @ 72 Front Street, Bath. My blog 'Martha Miller' shares my art, my process, and my inspirations, and my blog 'Not Bad Thing' showcases my daughter Lisbeth's artwork and process. It is also where I share my experience as a mother of an adult child with special needs. You can see more of my artwork on my website @ www.marthamiller.com

Happy New Year!
Great photos--something about Millerton speaks to me of home, although I've never been there! Looks like the grave stones are talking to each other!
Thankyou, Don! You would love painting around Millerton! There are Don Gray scenes everywhere!! Looking forward to seeing your new website!
Hi Sue!
