Time to Get Out the Charcoal Again...

My grandmother, Lillie Congdon, seated with the dark jacket, surrounded by friends. This must have been taken around 1914 or so...

My grandmother's sister Edna, who died as a teen...

Kids. I know not who...

My grandmother's mother's brother, my great great Uncle Frank...

...who married Aunt Rhody, the kind lady who took my Gramma in at age 17 when her mother died...
Little Lillie...my grandmother as a baby!
My grandmother's father (I think!)
Who to draw next? All these faces are calling to me!!!

Aren't the old photos great? And so poignant...long gone souls. I can pore over them for hours... I sure understand your fascination.

Martha!

I think the first pic of your grandma would make an excellent portrait and a great excuse to draw another fun hat!
