Old Friend

I have spent the last week packing up my apartment in Portland, and cleaning, unpacking and painting walls and woodwork here at my home in Woolwich. Also I don't have my PC here (upon which I have my photoshop and do all my downloading of photos and editing) so I have not been blogging regularly. I'll probably be posting only once or twice a week during this transition period, so bear with me! While unpacking I found this photo of a portrait I did in 2002 (or was it 2001?) of my nephew, George Beauchemin. I have many pieces of work that have never been officially documented, and to happen upon this snapshot is like finding an old friend...

Martha!

Maybe all that packing and unpacking was meant to be.

It allowed you to find that wonderful portrait of your nephew and share it with the rest of us.

I love the style of the face. A cross between a caricature and fine art portrait.

A lot of detail in the curly hair and I love the reds and yellows you put into the skin.

This portrait glows and is fabulous!!
