Yo, Picasso

Another amazing find purchased for little to nothing from the sale rack at the MECA Joanne Waxman library:
Picasso and Portraiture: Representation and Transformation, The Museum of Modern Art, New York. I'm sure that I will share more from this book in the future - it's fat as a bible and chock full of gorgeous images - many of which I am unfamiliar with. But for now, here are some of Picasso's self-portraits, along with a few photographs of the Bull/Man.
Damn, his work is powerful.

These photos are so great. I always feel a special connection to Picasso having been born on his birthday.
This particular book sounds very interesting...the portrait.

Guess you were at the right place at the right time!!! Great find! I always feel like the cat that swallowed the canary when I come home with something so precious for next to nothing.

Hi Blue

Wow, the same birthday as Picasso! What day is that? I always think of him as a Taurus because of all his minotaurs, but he's Scorpio, right?

Hi KaHolly!

The great books I get at that library are actually marked for discard!

What a great birthday buddy for you to have!
Let's see - who shares my birthday? Jerry Lewis. "Hey Laaaady!"
My daughter Lisbeth is the 27th of October and she's a TRIPLE Scorpio! Sun, moon and rising signs, all in Scorpio. Intense!
