Cutie Putti and Crazy Robins

The scene inside and outside of my apartment today. I sat working on these little valentine putti to put in my etsy shop, while robins (yes, robins! dozens of them!) flocked in the city treetops. What are they doing here? It's cold as hell and we are still buried in snow!

Fun! Real nice hangings! Hey I just took some pictures of what I'm sewing with it all on my table--sewing machine and all--much like you've done. I'm making a doll for Patience. I may post the pictures in a few days.

Beautiful work. Last Saturday, Robins invaded the backyard here. It was difficult to gage the number as the yard was a carnival but, one hundred plus were frolicking, tossing leaves and playing tag. They were joined by scores of Siskins and Sapsuckers. In the middle of this cacophony was the ring master, a Great Pileated Woodpecker, dancing around the base of the trees, not part of the robin act but the center of the show nonetheless. This went on about thirty minutes and then like the carnival they packed up and moved on. Cool.

Oh my goodness, these are so cute!!! I especially love the one with the flower. How strange the birds... but hey, take it as a sign of spring!
