I have been challenged with foot issues of late - arthritis in my big toe joints. I had surgery on both feet last summer, yet I am still in pain. I am now seeing a group of physical therapists who practice IMT. It's a very interesting process - very gentle. At my first visit I was told that I have a sensitivity to gluten and was advised to go on a gluten free diet. Evidently gluten is a big culprit in aggravating joint pain. So I am on week three of gluten free, and I do notice a difference! I was already sugar free and white flour free, so it wasn't a huge leap (I have been on The Schwarzbein Diet for almost 2 years).
So yesterday I decided to give my poor feet a treat and walked to Elizabeth Nails on Cumberland Ave and had a pedicure. Now THAT is an art form! And how humbled I felt to have someone (a very kind young man) washing and tending to my feet. It's so biblical...
