These last three posts just leave me breathless. I can't imagine losing that much work in such a happenstance. Your reaction and action after the fact amazes me, and is a testament to your strong character and sense of self as artist.
The salvaged drawings, having experienced a dramatic physical transformation, are now imbued with a serenity not unlike what you felt after the event. Have you exhibited these together in a show? They make a powerful statement, indeed.
What's that expression? The strongest metal goes through the hottest fire...
I've never shown these before now. I suppose that they could make an interesting exhibit...
