I then put the felt over a second piece of felt and sewed all the contours and details with black thread, then trimmed around the figure. Next I painted the figure with acrylics and when dry, sewed on beads, sequins, etc. Oh - I put the loop of ribbon to hang the ornament between the 2 pieces of felt before stitching them together. They are alot of fun to make! I made a bunch of felt birds, too - I'll have to post them!
How long did each piece take - hmmm, probably about an hour apiece? I did them assembly line fashion - drew them all, stitched them all, etc.
I'll look for yours on your blog!martha millerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17847828956846494958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341967932815075836.post-70714238146456317332008-07-04T12:13:00.000-04:002008-07-04T12:13:00.000-04:00OK, Martha, you rock! You've inspired me to post my felt ornaments I made for a show last xmas... I may have to try to make figures. (? don't know if I can pull it off.) How long did each piece take?!

Bravo,
Brendaartslicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13557982924385155156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5341967932815075836.post-73296509978502446802008-07-04T11:29:00.000-04:002008-07-04T11:29:00.000-04:00I own, "After Ghagall" I'm not waiting till Chris...I own, "After Ghagall" I'm not waiting till Christmas, I have it up on my wall and love it!Susan Beaucheminhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12603806959873249854noreply@blogger.com
